Below is a description of the general guide lines for sending us product
related custom designs and other pieces of art work.
Software and fonts
We can only process files in PC format that were created with one of the
following graphic programs:
- Photoshop (version 6.0 or lower)
- Corel Draw (version 10.0 or lower)
- Quark Express (version 5 or lower)
- Adobe Illustrator (version 10.0 or lower)
- Freehand (version 9.0 or lower)
Fonts can be a major problem when sending art work. Many of these problems
can be avoided if you convert fonts to graphics prior to sending them. The
starting point for some popular graphic programs is:
- Adobe Illustrator: Create outlines
- Corel Draw: Convert to curves
- Freehand: Convert to paths
File formats
For scanned images, we can handle the following PC-only file formats:
The use of PDF files is not recommended because those files cannot be
easily modified. The minimum recommended resolution is 600 ppi.
Experience shows that the best results are obtained when you scan at
200% and let us reduce the size to fit the product.
Art Specification
Reading various file formats is not always easy. Problems with reading
files could result in unneccessary delays. When sending us your art
files:
- By courier or post: Please send by 1.44 MB disks, zip disk, CDs;
(including a printed copy of the art file), or
- By email. Please make sure to send us a printed copy of the art
file by post or courier separately.
*** For the CDs submission, please make sure all the files of the CDs are fulfilling our requirements as above.
These files should be under PC format (Not in MAC format). In order to increase the efficiency,
please test your own CD by your own PC (Not your burning CDs computer) before sending the CD to us. ***
Hard Copies
We reserve the right to request hard copies of all original art work
required for production purposes.
