Questions Answers

Why are there no prices listed on the website?

  1. For special made-to-order items done to the client's specifications: For such made-to-order items: it is important that the customer first obtains a clear understanding and agreement with us as to all details of the made-to-order specifications, before any realistic price quoting can be done (however rough). Without this, it is both impractical and dangerously misleading for us to quote prices blindly.
  2. or those doll components items as showned in this web site, but with some changes or modifications needed: On these doll components, we do offer our customers the added luxury to modify or change them as they seem fit. (We do not offer old and/or stale inventory products, as most of our competitors now do.) Without first knowing the changes needed in detail, per customer, it is again, impractical and misleading for us to quote prices prematurely (however rough).
  3. or those doll component items as showned here in our web site - As Is, without any further minor or major changes: To obtain sample price quotes, for these items, please go through the steps to make your detail selections and later fill out the customer questionnaire form in full. The clarity and fullness of your informations provided would greatly affect the speed and clarity of our response.
  4. In general, realistic price quotes is best quoted once the final design and counter samples are approved by you, the customer; not before that.

Why are order delivery lead times, on some items, not listed on this website?
In general, it is our policy to ship our customer freshly made-to-order doll components & doll products, most suitable for your needs. (FYI, we do not carry nor ship any staled or outdated doll inventories as most of our competitors do now.) For us to do the above, however, we need to produce each and every made-to-order item after sample approval and we received and confirmed the customer's valid order; not before. This process, unfortunately, do expose us to certain production uncertainty: Product lead time would vary with when the sample is approved; and when the client's order is received and confirmed by us. (e.g. Doll related production lead time would obviously be longer in the months prior to Christmas rush.) Product lead time would vary depending on the item ordered and quantity ordered etc. (e.g. The more quantities ordered, the longer obviously it may take; products requiring a lot of hand works would obviously require longer time than items that do not.) Without knowing first the possible interested quantity and the client's requirements, in details, it is both impractical and highly misleading for us to quote lead times blindly.

For items where some general assumptions can be made by us, without prejudices (as to quantities, basic raw material requirements, etc., - as with some of the below listed doll components,) the approximate order production lead time are estimated as follows: Estimation based on the following necessary prior conditions:

DOLL WIGS
  1. M.O.Q.s per doll wig style, needs to be as stated before (or more)
  2. Total M.O.Q.s for all doll wig items, needs be at least 1000 pieces (or more) per order, per shipment/delivery. Inquiries for lesser quantities would generally be not accepted.
  3. Final ready for production sample (or counter sample) must have been confirmed and agreed to, by both parties, as the only acceptable final production standard, without any further changes (however minor). Such mutual agreement must in writing by both parties.
  4. A firm purchase order should be ready to be issue by the customer to us.
  5. An agreed form of payment should have been reached, in writing, by both parties, if not settled already.
  6. All other pre-production development or prior arrangements needed should have been agreed to in writing, by both parties.
  7. Only upon the full fulfillment of all of the above mentioned conditions, without exceptions or omission, then and only then, would the above mentioned approximate order production lead time clock start to tick, as mentioned; or as follows.
Production, (not development) lead time, for doll wigs, would be about 45 days, from the moment all of the above mentioned conditions are fulfilled or otherwise arranged for.

DOLL SHOES

  2. Total M.O.Q.s for all doll clothings, (not including any clothing accessories items, such as hats, caps, shawls, etc., if any), must be at least 1000 sets (or more) per order, per shipment/delivery. Inquiries for lesser quantities would generally be not accepted.

What are your normal product development (different from order production) lead time?
Unlike our competitors, we do not carry any pre-made stale dolls nor doll component stocks, even samples, awaiting possible sales or sample request. Instead we choose the harder, more difficult, but more responsive and responsible way of tailor making various dolls or doll components done to our client's detail requirements and specifications. This way, our clients are assured that they order and receive freshly made-to-order dolls or doll components they need - and not make do with some stale, old doll inventory, someone had pre-made months (if not years) ago. To do such custom work, however, is no easy job. Even with our experiences, we would still need your helps as follows:

  1. Please keep an open mind - Due to the unique nature of our special service, please try to work with us, our ways; and not insist on the more familiar, but inferior, super-market shopping attitude: e.g. identify, choose (substitute if not found), load up, pay, take away - all in one visit) kind of business attitude.
  2. Please be willing to take initiative. As explained, in order for high quality made-to-order dolls and doll components to be possible, it is imperative that that client send us their detail specifications/requirements first; and not visa versa.
    1. This mean first thing needed, before everything else, is for the client to notify us or send us their prototype samples, 3 dimensional pictures, computer sketches, detail specifications, interested quantities, or other details, etc. (See Design Guide for reference.)
    2. Only after we are crystal clear with your requirements, then and only then, can we begin to discuss about other business matters, such as: product development lead time, minimum order quantities (M.O.Q.s), raw material availabilities, reference prices, sample makings, etc. etc.
  3. Please be patient. In order for us to offer our unique service, adequate time is of the utmost importance.
    1. Experiences tell us that good product development, for made-to-order items, requires time. Depending on the nature of the product and the difficulty involved, the time needed would vary from a few days to as long as the time needed for normal product production. (Sometimes shorter. Sometimes longer.) Please allow for this important time factor in your planning, right from the start. For details: Please contact us at: sales@leannie.com

(Please reply or send messages in English only)

    2. Good communication and understandings need time. (e.g. Samples submission back and forth; specification revisions back and forth; correct raw material sourcing and replacement, etc.)
    3. Made-to-order dolls and doll components need time. Best is plan ahead and always expect for the inherent, unexpected delays.

Why are there minimum order quantity (M.O.Q.) on most of your products?
As a special made-to-order operation, M.O.Q. requirements are needed, not by choice, but out of necessity to cover basic unavoidable costs incurred. Please note:

  1. On all raw materials - (e.g. initial developmental or tooling works for dolls; fabrics for the doll clothes; leathers or plastics for the doll shoes; hair fiber for the doll wigs; etc.) - our raw material suppliers would require some kind of M.O.Q.s on us - irregardless if we wish to make ten of thousand of pieces or just a few samples. Such limitations must be reflected - at least in parts if not in whole.
  2. For production efficiency purposes, certain M.O.Q. quantities are needed to reach production efficiency and economy of scale. The M.O.Q. quantities - as we had requested here - helps to make such production efficiencies possible - resulting hopefully in cost & production efficiency. The alternative to no M.O.Q. or little M.O.Q.s is for us to work inefficiently and forcing us to charge expansive unit prices normal for made-to-order custom made items.
  3. The M.O.Q.s, as we had quoted here, already reflects a lot of our past hard works and past efforts, on our part, to lower the M.O.Q.s as much as possible. On this web site, we are already offering the lowest M.O.Q.s around - much lower than similar quantities our competitors would normally request.

If I just need to get a few samples, do I still have to comply with the M.O.Q. on each item?

  1. In all possibilities, efforts are made so that you, the customer, need not do this (unless not possible.) For details, please email us at: sales@leannie.com.

(Please reply or send messages in English only)

  2. All samples and postage fee incurred must be paid in advance, in full. (Sorry no free samples).
  3. Doll component samples: If you should need fast reference samples urgently, then please note:
    1. Please restrict your selection to those items or styles as illustrated, on this web site without any "minor changes" of styles, sizes, colors, etc.
    2. Be willing to accept substitution for all styles, specific sizes, colors, etc.

Can I get free samples and do they include shipping and handling charges?
Sorry. All samples cost and postage charges incurred would need be paid in full and in advance before any such sample work can start. Please email us at: sales@leannie.com

What are your order payment methods? Do you sell on Credit term? Can I pay by US Dollars personal check?
You can choose from the following payment methods:

  1. For the order to be valid, ordered amount should be paid by T/T payment at the time of order, or
  2. Irrevocable Letter of Credit for full amount of order, at the time of placement of order, or
  3. Credit terms: Sorry. We do not sell, any of our products, on any credit terms.
  4. US Dollars checks are acceptable on small amount purchases only - subject to the time it would take for prior bank clearance which normally means at least 2 weeks or more from overseas. (In general, bank checks clearance is faster than personal checks clearance.)

I like your products. But can not meet your M.O.Q. requirements. What should I do?
Please give us your address; detail informations on your interested items and quantities; etc. and we would gladly pass along this informations to someone who can supply you our products indirectly. (Subject to availability.) [Back to top]

What are the best shipment possibilities and what are their rates?
As a basic rule, we try to ship by the most economical method possible. This, however, is not always possible. If this is the case:

  1. Prior to shipment: We would consult with you, the client, with suggestions if available, to decide on the best means of shipment to be used.
  2. Most times, however, due to the "smallness" of the individual doll products, our customers would often opted for air parcel or air courier shipment - which is faster but not necessarily more expensive.

What are best ways of communicating with your company?
The best way is by email to sales@leannie.com.

(Please reply or send messages in English only)

This way, we can easily send each other messages and/or images cost effectively and efficiently. English is the preferred language. Please try to avoid all other languages; and avoid unnecessary abbreviations, or confusing local slangs or idioms. (All communications in non-English would be subject to natural delays and maybe even inability, on our part, to respond.) [Back to top]

Do you accept payment in any other currency beside U.S. Dollars?
By now, we only work in U.S. Dollars. [Back to top]

Besides those doll components as illustrated here, can you offer any other ones?
The items showed in this web site, shows just a few of many items or styles that we supply. For other doll items, not showned here, the important question to ask yourself is: Is it to be made-to-order?

  1. If it is, it would be necessary for you, the client, to first supply us with your original requirements or detail specifications; and not the other way around.
  2. If it is not, we shall try to supply you with your required doll components, provided:
    1. We know exactly what you want,
    2. It is feasible for us to do so; and
    3. Ample time, ample quantities and clear enough informations or actual samples are given us to do so; and
    4. It is legal and cost effective to do so.

How do I get catalogs on all of your products?
The important thing to keep in mind here is that: Our company specialized in offering specialized made-to-order complete dolls and some doll component items. To offer this unique and specialized service means that there can be no standard catalogs. Unlike our competitors, we do not offer any old and/or stale inventory products awaiting sales. - This way, our competitors can offer catalogs easily; we can not. We rather listen and comply to our customers special specifications, styles, and designs ideas - without restrains of any catalogs.

And, no, we can not offer the original styles and designs of our existing clients, for others, even as references. Sorry. Those doll components and styles, as illustrated in this web site, however, are available for your references. And for these doll component, this web site is our catalog.
