About Us - Words From Founder

Ms. Ruby Ho, the eldest child in a family of seven, started her career in 1964 at a very young age as a factory worker, weaving lady's wigs in a small factory. Over the years, her dedication to quality and her sense of responsibility led to the promotion of production manager.

In 1981, an old European friend came to Ruby, desperately seeking her help to manufacture a new line of made-to-order, quality minded doll accessories starting with doll wigs. Apparently, her friend had searched for a long time, and in many countries, in vain, for any willing suppliers. Ruby was his last hope.

Ruby, sensing her dear friend's desperation and (intrigue) by the challenge immediately jump to the opportunity. Unfortunately, no one Ruby knew, at that time, shared in her enthusiasms, and Ruby was unable to find any financial backer to help finance her new venture.

Being a natural borned fighter, and despite all the odds against her, Ruby persisted.

The only thing left for Ruby to do, at that time, was to dig into her own meager little savings and started a small family business with only a handful of workers.

As things later turned out, Ruby was so successful with her doll wigs business, she soon earned her the nickname: the "Wig Queen".

After the made-to-order doll wigs, come the made-to-order doll clothes; then the made-to-order doll shoes; then the various different made-to-order complete dolls; and the various other high quality minded, made-to-order doll accessories. To the surprise of all the skeptics around her - Ruby had one success after another.

Apparently Ruby's philosophy of hard works, respect to customers, attention to details, and her strong sense of new design/stylings were much appreciated by her customers.

Over the year, her small family factory of only a few workers has grown now to a large scale manufacturing operation with over (1,800+) employees:( a factory working space of 180,000+ sq. feet and a living area of 120,000+ sq. feet.)

How was Ruby able to accomplish this during the last three tumultuous decades? Here is what she has to say:

I have never worried about the future. For me, every day counts. I try to do the best today so that I can do more good things tomorrow. This way, I gradually advance.

I view the customer as someone who gives me the chance to do well. Sometimes, customers may not know exactly what they want or cannot express it clearly. This is my chance to think creatively on how to help them. It is this spirit of tireless dedication to the customer that I also teach my employees.

I strongly believe in hard work and I never give up.

Lead on, Ruby. We are all behind you!

P.S. A little update dated 12.7.2000: Due to Ms. Ruby's continuing ongoing successes, her customers are now referring to Ms. Ruby as the new "Doll Queen". God bless the Queen!
